Traces that people leave behind have always intrigued me. What is the story behind these traces? They are proof of human presence without humans present. They are like archeological finds from an (un)known past, like cave paintings open to interpretation. Suggesting human nature and its influence shaping its surroundings like marking their territory. Giving the urban landscape new meaning and exploring it in a different light.

These traces form the foundation and inspiration for my new work on paper and canvas, linking graffiti and my urban photography.

Some of these drafts are featured in Off Centered, a subscription based publication series with my autonomous work.
